Kinetik plans to broaden the reach of their Non-Emergency Medical Transportation software solutions, leading to equitable access to medical transportation.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY (September 20, 2022) — _Kinetik today announced it has been selected to participate in the AWS Healthcare Accelerator for Health Equity, a technical, business, and mentorship program for startups seeking to use AWS to increase access to health services, reduce disparities by addressing social determinants of health, and/or use data to promote equitable and inclusive systems of care. This opportunity will support Kinetik’s efforts to broaden the reach of their Non-Emergency Medical Transportation software solutions, which will simplify business operations in the industry and provide equitable access to medical transportation.

The four-week AWS Healthcare Accelerator curriculum provides hands-on AWS Cloud and technical training, mentorship, coaching, and business support. As one of 10 companies chosen for this opportunity, Kinetik will receive up to $25,000 in AWS computing credits, AWS training and support, mentorship, and additional business development resources including opportunities to speak with healthcare-savvy venture investors.

Established in 2017, Kinetik has built one of the nation’s largest healthcare transportation infrastructures in the marketplace – digitally connecting health plans, brokers, and providers. This exciting opportunity will allow Kinetik to further their efforts towards healthcare equity by focusing on developing an application designed to put non-emergency medical transportation opportunities in the hands of patients.

“We want to leverage AWS and its portfolio of partners and companies to scale Kinetik’s offerings,” says Sufian Chowdhury, CEO. “By partnering with leaders in the healthcare space, we can bring attention to the work we are doing to improve healthcare outcomes related to creating accessibility; reducing fraud, waste, and abuse; and improving interoperability. We envision a future in which the coordination and delivery of medical transportation will be so seamless that any patient, anywhere, can request a healthcare ride in real-time.”

“AWS looks forward to collaborating with this impressive group of startups who are helping reduce health disparities with thoughtful and inspiring solutions,” said Jeff Kratz, general manager of Worldwide Public Sector Partners at AWS. “We believe that by working together, we can help them harness the power of the cloud to make access to healthcare more equitable.”
